Strong yet Fragile

Our lives are strong yet fragile. This design is referenced to an older piece that I did in high school, which is about my feeling towards my father’s lung cancer diagnosis. I have used the sculpture from that piece as a base and created a new design. The meaning has been further developed as even though human lives are fragile, we should not resist creating everlasting memories.

Failure is Necessary

Failure is the mother of success. It is a cliche saying, but somehow it is true. Even though there are dark times in our life, there are also bright times. I did an installation piece with 300 origami hearts in high school, which shows how people rather choose to be selfish than being helpful. I have used the origami heart that I did as a base and created a new design. This UT design shows that even we failed during our way to success, we can create memorable moments, and we should treat failure as an honourable thing.
